This album contains compositions by William Zhang from year 2019 to 2021. Piano Sonata No. 1 in C Major was written when William was seven years old. It was a lively piece about birds, cats, unknown animals, and play in the yard and other various imaginative places. Piano Sonata No. 2 in G Minor was written during a time after more than one year lockdown due to the pandemic. This Sonata displays an array of varied and sometimes opposite emotions. Despite fear, confusion anger and frustration, you will hear the note of hope and triumph. This Sonata was nicknamed as Morte Covid, meaning Death of Covid in German. Five Divertissements contains two out of the five character pieces.
